Explore the future of fashion within the digital landscape, where design and technology merge to create new creative languages and immersive experiences.

The Master in Digital Fashion offers advanced training to understand and lead the digital transformation of the fashion industry.

You will learn to integrate technological tools into creation, production, and communication processes, exploring how technology is reshaping the methods, aesthetics, and experiences that define contemporary fashion. Throughout the course, you will work with specialised software — such as CLO 3D, Blender, Adobe Substance, Daz 3D, Unity, or Spark AR /Lens Studio — to design collections, garments, avatars, and virtual environments. The programme combines technical practice with cultural reflection, encouraging you to develop a personal, critical, and creative perspective on digital fashion.

Through a project-based methodology, you will have the opportunity to experiment, research, and build proposals in dialogue with the professional context. This master’s prepares you to join a rapidly evolving industry and play an active role in defining its new languages, formats, and experiences.

This programme is taught at IED Madrid Design District - Carabanchel.

Information to decide

A programme that combines design, technology, and critical thinking to understand and shape fashion within today’s digital context.

You will learn through a hands-on approach that combines theoretical classes, workshops, seminars, and collaborative projects.

The programme begins with the foundations of digital design applied to fashion, continues with the technical mastery of virtual creation tools, and culminates in the development of innovative projects that merge identity, technology, and critical thinking. You will experiment with cutting-edge software and discover how fashion can expand into new visual, virtual, and sensory territories. The Final Master Project consolidates all the knowledge acquired through a personal research, design, and production project that expresses your critical and creative vision of digital fashion.

A basic understanding of pattern making and visual culture, as well as some experience with 3D modelling or graphic design software, is recommended.

Applicants are required to submit a portfolio and take part in an interview to assess their technical skills and motivations.

Studying the Master in Digital Fashion at IED Madrid will immerse you in an international environment where design, technology, and visual culture converge. Throughout the course, you will learn to combine critical thinking with professional practice, mastering digital tools and 3D design techniques. You will develop a strategic, creative, and aesthetic mindset that will prepare you to face the challenges of a transforming sector.

Upon completion, you will have a professional profile capable of working in areas such as digital fashion and textile design, immersive experience creation, innovation consultancy, or the production of digital content and virtual environments.
