Projects developed by IED Spain students have been recognised with eight Laus Awards in an edition that brought together some of the most outstanding works in graphic design and visual communication in Spain.

The Nit ADG Laus, held in Barcelona, once again became a key meeting point for the industry, celebrating creative excellence and innovation in design. In this 56th edition, students from IED Madrid, IED Barcelona and IED Kunsthal Bilbao received a total of eight awards from among the institution’s 26 nominations.

These awards highlight the quality of the projects developed across the different IED Spain campuses and reflect the diversity of approaches, disciplines and creative languages that define its academic community.

Among the projects awarded a Gold Laus were Ñaño, by Gonzalo Muñoz (IED Madrid), in the Free Work – Graphic Design category, and (POST)ESTACIONALIDAD, developed by Lucías Andrades, Lucía Martínez, Janset Ayyildiz, Ibaya Legorburu, Amaia Beldarrain, Jon Unzueta and June García (IED Kunsthal Bilbao), in the Contribution (Aporta) – Free Work category.

The Silver Laus Awards recognised What the Trees Told Me, by Jaime De Candole (IED Barcelona), in the Final Degree Project – Graphic Design category; ABONO 03: Hogar, by Alex Boutin, Claudia Campo, Bastian García, María Elena Cadenas, Ignacio Carbajosa, Gonzalo Salas, Celia Muñoz, Pilar Jauregi, Daniela Tipse and Julia Jiménez (IED Madrid), in Free Work – Graphic Design; Palimpsest, by Tom Toldi (IED Barcelona), in Free Work – Advertising; and AXYZ, by Jon Blanco (IED Kunsthal Bilbao), in Final Degree Project – Graphic Design.

The Bronze Laus Awards went to SOO, by Alberto Herrera, Tomás Morena and Gonzalo Muñoz (IED Madrid), in the Free Work – Graphic Design category, and Memor, by Arianna Barahona (IED Barcelona), a project nominated in both the Free Work – Graphic Design and Contribution (Aporta) – Free Work categories.

These recognitions highlight the commitment, research and ability of IED Spain students and alumni to develop projects that engage with contemporary challenges through design, visual communication and creative innovation.

In addition to the eight award-winning projects, the remaining nominated works will be featured in the Laus Inbook, the annual publication showcasing a selection of the best projects recognised by the ADG Laus Awards and serving as a valuable platform for emerging and professional talent in graphic design and visual communication.

With these eight awards and the inclusion of 24 projects —which received a total of 26 nominations— in the awards’ official record and publication, IED Spain strengthens its presence in one of the industry's most  prestigious competitions and celebrates the talent of a community that continues to contribute to the future of design. .
