Acceptance Letter (by IED Barcelona lecturer Jeakyong Sim), Compte Spain and L’AMAR (brands founded respectively by IED Madrid alumni Santi Mozas and Nacho Lamar) will unveil their new collections on the catwalk

080 Barcelona Fashion, Spain’s most international fashion event, is once again championing talent with the Istituto Europeo di Design stamp. The programme for its 38th edition features three names connected to IED’s innovative and creative universe among the 25 designers set to unveil their new collections from 20 to 23 October at Marina Vela-Port Vell.

They are Acceptance Letter (by IED Barcelona lecturer Jeakyong Sim), Compte Spain and L’AMAR (brands founded respectively by IED Madrid alumni Santi Mozas and Nacho Lamar).

Acceptance Letter (Jeakyong Sim) creates narrative, circular womenswear. The brand has shown in Seoul, Berlin and at 080 Barcelona Fashion. Sim’s research explores heritage crafts, circular practices and mono-material design. He will present his latest collection, “The Jester’s Prayer”, on Thursday, 22 October at 12.30 pm.

Compte Spain (Santi Mozas) is a prêt-à-couture label whose creative universe draws on fairy tales and everything surrounding them. Its designs reinterpret codes, symbols and imaginary worlds to create new narratives in which romanticism and theatricality coexist with a contemporary, transgressive perspective. Its garments are developed and handcrafted in Spain, reflecting the brand’s commitment to independent designer fashion, local production and slow fashion. It will showcase its collection “La Bête” on Thursday, 22 October at 7 pm.

L’AMAR (Nacho Lamar) was founded in 2020 with the aim of making its mark on the bespoke and ready-to-wear fashion market. With a contemporary, artistic approach, the label draws its main inspiration from conceptual art under the motto: “Objects communicate, but clothes speak.” It has received numerous accolades, including the Aguja Goyesca, the Best Aragonese Designer Award and the National Fashion Award for Young Designers, and was commissioned to design the uniforms for Hotel Canfranc Estación. At this edition of 080, the brand will unveil “Destertores”, its tenth menswear collection, on Friday, 23 October at 12.30 pm.
