The future of Fashion opens to the City of Milan

Spotlights once again turn on tomorrow's fashion designers, with IED Avant Défilé 2024, the graduate event of the IED Milano Fashion School, scheduled for June the26 and 27 at Palazzo Giureconsulti and, for the second year, open to the entire city. The event is organized under the patronage of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
10 students, selected among the best graduates of the current academic year, show their thesis collections in a both personal and collective storytelling, through 10 static installations and repeated live performance moments, in which outfits come to life.
Wednesday, June 26, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Thursday, June 27, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., the entire external public (and not just who works in the fashion system) is invited to freely enter the spaces of Palazzo Giureconsulti overlooking Piazza dei Mercanti to discover new fashion talents. A visual and emotional dialogue is thus created with different interlocutors, who are called upon to express their preference on the projects deemed best in order to arrive at the awarding - at the end of the two days - of a prize from the Press, the Fashion System and the Public, thanks to the collaboration with Luxury Jersey and Cap 74024 magazine.
IED Avant Défilé is the exhibition-event that offers young designers a first real platform for expression at the professional level, giving back a glimpse of Gen Z's view of the world and fashion. An important starting kickoff then, preceding the big fashion shows that will await these creatives in the future: an authentic avant défilé.
