Pablo Barrera, Fernando Sánchez, Marina Lorán and Olaya García designed four outfits inspired to the iconic Carrie Bradshaw

Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid and HBO MAX joined forces to launch the second season of And Just Like That.... Four students from the 2021 and 2022 courses of the Undergraduate course in Fashion Design - IED Madrid - designed as many styles inspired by the looks of the character Carrie Bradshaw - played by Sarah Jessica Parker - from the TV series Sex and the City, as a way of celebrating the 25th anniversary of its premiere.

The designs were exhibited on 22 June at a private event organised by Vogue Spain to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the series, which took place at Diego Guerrero's house on Madrid's Gran Vía.

The profiles selected were those of four young creatives who are currently very committed to their fashion projects and/or independent brands.

Pablo Barrera Rodríguez

The look represents the essence of the series, on the one hand the sex represented by the sinuous female nude printed on the light of the city, a black dress illuminated by thousands of silver crystals.

Fernando Sánchez Jiménez

The look is inspired by the dresses of the late 90s and early 2000s that the protagonist wore during the first seasons of the series.

It's a short draped dress made of peccary leather.

Marina Lorán López

The design takes inspiration from the flower accessories that Patricia Field incorporates in Carrie Bradshaw's looks throughout all the seasons of Sex and The City. They take the exaggeration of these to the extreme by turning the dress itself into a flower. In addition, it is made entirely with cyanotype on silk based on the classic floral photographs.

Olaya García Robles

The look is an ode to the essence of Carrie, and her unparalleled ability to mix styles, prints, textures and volumes.

An eye-catching coat with an oversized bow at the neck wraps around a simple asymmetrical cut dress made of striped shirt fabric, playing with the direction of the stripes.
