Cuatro marcas de alumni del IED Madrid y dos de IED Barcelona desfilarán en la próxima Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid

Date

25 February 2026

IED strengthens its ties with the fashion industry through the participation of six designers in the upcoming edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, one of the most relevant platforms on the international calendar.

In this new edition, talent emerging from IED classrooms will once again take center stage on the runway.

ManéMané, the brand founded by Miguel Becer, lecturer of the Master’s in Fashion Design, will show on Thursday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m. on the OFF runway. The brand is recognized for its avant-garde approach and its ability to reinterpret the codes of womenswear through experimental volumes and a strong aesthetic identity.

Later that same day, also on the OFF runway, at 12:00 p.m., it will be Ernesto Naranjo’s turn. An IED Madrid alumnus and winner of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent award at Madrid Fashion Week in 2018, among other prizes, he returns to MBFWM with his proposal “THE RETURN – THE CELEBRATION.” The collection emerges from a dialogue between the body, material and gesture, incorporating the influence of the Guatai movement and the logic of textile collage as a metaphor for return—which, in his view, means bringing together all versions of oneself.

He will be followed at1:30p.m. by Mans, the brand founded by JaimeÁlvarez, also an alumnus of the Fashion Design Degree. The collection continues to explore contemporary tailoring, this time through the fusion of several concepts: the link between Van Gogh’s butterflies and the precision of tailoring. Wings inspire clean cuts, collars and volumes that create movement while engaging in dialogue with a contemporary silhouette, where each garment represents a metamorphosis.

Completing IED Madrid’s representation is Maison Gracen, led by Marta Von Gracen, an alumna of Styling and Fashion Image. The brand stands out with its collection “Gegenwart,” which will be presented on Sunday, March 22 at 10:30 a.m. on the EGO runway. The proposal focuses on sustainability and the value of process, championing slow fashion and conscious production while integrating artisanal techniques into a contemporary language.

From IED Barcelona, two established designers also join the official schedule. Juan Vidal, Creative Director and lecturer at the School of Fashion, will present a romantic and technical proposal on Wednesday, March 18 at 11:30 a.m. on the OFF runway. Winner in the Best Presentation: New Formats category at the latest edition of the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards, and one of the key figures in Spanish design, he returns to MBFW to once again demonstrate why his personal signature continues to captivate audiences and critics alike through innovation and sophistication.

Meanwhile, the restless, versatile and multidisciplinary vision of designer and IED Barcelona alumnus Pablo Erroz will also return to the Madrid runway with a new showcase of his creative commitment to functionality and sustainability—his collections are annual and not divided by seasons. Considered one of the most promising voices on the national scene by Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Forbes (Creatives 2025 list), and winner of the Woolmark Prize for Best Spanish Menswear Designer, he will present his new proposals—blending streetwear and relaxed luxury—on Friday, March 20 at 4:30 p.m. at IFEMA MADRID.
