IED Spain becomes the official partner HackThatFashion, a cross-sectoral platform connecting technology and innovation to find sustainable solutions for the Fashion Sector.

HackThatFashion is a brand new project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union for the sustainable and digital transition of the fashion industry. IED, as a referential design education institution, will support the initiative over its two-year duration. This project aims to offer a free support programme consisting of hands-on tools, workshops and hackathons for fashion brands, designers, startups and small and medium fashion companies that are in the early stages of defining their business models.

HackThatFashion is looking for fashion designers and companies in Europe interested in participating in this transformation. Through learning and applying design thinking methods and tools, fashion designers will be supported to practice and build concrete results towards technology and sustainability integration and adoption.

By joining the programme, participants from all over Europe will be able to improve their capacities in two main areas: first, the coherent use of digital technology, and second, the effective use of more sustainable practices.

An experienced team leads the HackThatFashion project from different European countries along IED: Envolve Entrepreneurship (Greece), business and innovation experts; and Tartu Centre for Creative Industries (Estonia), creative industries experts. IED will bring its expertise in design and fashion design to the team.
