Sustainable fashion, protagonist of the Universo MOLA FASHION WEEK 2023

Given the current context of the energy and climate crisis, it is imperative that all design disciplines commit to sustainability, backing regeneration throughout the value chain. In accordance with this vision, the international Latin American sustainable fashion movement, Universo Mola, held the Universo MOLA FASHION WEEK 2023 in Punta del Este, Uruguay, from 30 March to 3 April. This was a hybrid event that included the participation of IED Barcelona and FITS (Future Innovation Tailor-Made School).
Through a speech in video format aired on 31 March, Andrea Marchesi, Director of the School; Raffaella Perrone, Director of the Design Area; and Pablo Erroz, Creative Director of the brand of the same name and Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Men's Fashion Design, analysed the impact of design education on the fashion industry from the point of view of sustainability.
