With Love Halston Fashion Scholarship + IED - IED Barcelona

Date

30 September 2024

The winning look, which will be decided by an international jury, will be announced on 15 October at the special awards event to be held as part of Barcelona’s fashion week

With Love Halston Fashion Scholarship announced its finalists. Nine students from five IED Schools (Barcelona, Bilbao, Cagliari, Como and Milan) will attend 080 Barcelona Fashion to take part in the event where the winner of the competition will be announced.

With Love Halston Fashion Scholarship is a transformative scholarship program aimed at nurturing emerging design talent while educating them on the brilliance behind Halston’s designs. This initiative aims to cultivate and support the next generation of creative talent in the fashion industry while uplifting Halston’s legacy. In this sense, 080 Barcelona Fashion is the perfect platform to promote a competition like this, since both share the same vision for creativity, conscious design and promotion of young talents.

After overcoming the different phases of this challenge, the aspirants to the final prize, selected from around fifty final-year Fashion Design students from the 11 IED campuses, will take part at the annual Barcelona fashion event - in the spectacular Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau – on 15 October.

Each student will present an original look designed according to the Halston aesthetic and criteria of sustainability and commerciality, with workshops and online tutorials provided by With Love Halston, as well as the support of IED tutors.

An international jury composed of renowned professionals from the fashion industry will decide on the winning design. The prize consists of a $10,000 scholarship prize and a Full Heart Box designed by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co, courtesy of The Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation.

The finalist are:

Luis Alvarado – IED Barcelona

Virginia Ceruti – IED Barcelona

Gaizka Albizu – IED Kunsthal-Bilbao

Rachel Mancini – IED Cagliari

Anna Serra – IED Cagliari

Martina Serra– IED Cagliari

Elisa Gambinossi – Accademia di Belle Arti Aldo Galli - Como

Li Chein – IED Milano

Rosemaria Simonnetti – IED Milano

Good luck to all of them!
